Vice President of Enterprise and International
Julia Stiglitz is the vice president of enterprise and international at Coursera. In this capacity, she oversees Coursera’s work with corporations and governments, as well as its international expansion. She joined Coursera a month after it launched as the company’s first business hire and 12th employee. Before Coursera, she managed the North America sales and global community management team for Google Apps for Education. In this role, she helped to grow Google Apps for Education to be used in 70 percent of the top 100 U.S. universities, and available to more than 18 million active students, faculty and staff. Stiglitz started her career as a fourth-grade teacher in East San Jose, California, through Teach For America. She then went on to manage and lead professional development for new teachers as a program director for Teach For America. Stiglitz holds a bachelor’s from Pomona College, Claremont, California, a master’s in business from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a master’s in education from Stanford University.
